First car suggestions?
So I'm looking into getting my first car. I'll have to buy it myself, I'll get no help from my parents in purchasing it (yay for non-rich Brazilian parents). Nothing over $5000 AUD please. I'm looking for a small used car, low mileage etc.
Thanks to the few people that will actually help.
Don't buy something really snazzy as a first car.
Here's a few things to consider;
Gas prices
Insurance prices
Car Registration.
Having a shit heap of a car as a first car might make you a laughing stock amongst your mates, but they'll see who has the last laugh when you actually have money left over after filling up your v4 1.2 L Hyundai Excel.
I have no idea about your tastes, so I'll give some tips of what you could get with 5k euros here.
Considering having low mileage factors and cheap maintenance and gas prices, I'd say one of those would be good:
-Seat Ibiza
-VW Golf
-Peugeot 206
-Fiat Punto
-Opel Corsa
However I would suggest a very good car that is beginner friendly confortable and all good, but you wont get it for 5k, and if you do it would be with very high mileage and/or damaged severely. I'm talking about an Audi A3, I say this because I have one and the more I drive the more I like the car. But tbh look at the 5 cars I proposed before.
Do not get a geo tracker. Depending on what part of the world you're from, and how mechanically inclined you are, I'd still say a Beemer. As soon as I got to germany, I bought a junker, started fixing it up and sol;d it for 7 grand. I bought the car for $600. I've been doing the same thing to 6 cars since then, and I'm now driving a 2013 320i. I mean, I don't have a whole lot of bills to pay, seeing as though the military pays for most of my shit, so if you don't have money to tinker like I do, then it's kinda up to you.
Impala you can get one for 3 grand
Buy a ****** slave as a car.
Was gonna suggest those :
Seat Ibiza
VW Golf
Fiat Punto
But gamer4evere already did.
Don't come to a primarily American populated forum with AUD. That being said, I know absolutely nothing about cars.
I would go for an older VW model.
Like Doc said
