Why XenForo? Why not go with IPB? It's a bit more expensive but it's WAY more powerful and a lot less buggy. Definitely great for large communities such as MPGH.

Honestly, Invision sucks. Before vBulletin became de-facto premium board, everyone used IPB (this was around 2006) and earlier. MPGH used to run on it, it literally was a terrible experience. We switched to vBulletin and never looked back. Xenforo is the spiritual successor to vB in a way, vBulletin was sort of ruined after vB 3, probably because they were purchased.

Sure IPB is a good software. But remember that every plugin/modification/theme costs money, and if you need the same amount of features, like there is on mpgh today, will easily cost on the wrong side of 350$ if not more. If you want to pay that its fine by me

Xenforo isnt that hard really, The developers at Xenforo is the oold lead developers that also made this version of Vbulletion (3,8). And stopped at the company when they moved to the new platform of Vbulletion 4

Don't you realize you're going to fuck up your SEO? Good luck starting from scratch. Also I hope to god you're going to carry over this theme. It would be really preferable to make it so the thread URLs don't change. You need to figure that out. If you absolutely have to, at least add some redirects (http://xenforo.com/community/threads...irection.7584/), but having that many redirects is going to piss Google off. You might actually want to try and contact them personally, because when their bot sees every single link on your website turning into a redirect they're going to throw it all out. There might be some specific documentation on making this switch while minimizing SEO damage, that's something you should really look for.
