I declare Epic win =). Or fail for how true this is =(......
Did you make this BlackAngel?
I have similar feeling, but I actually want to teach a few people or at least provide an enviroment for the few people who wish to learn to move up and gain experience. There used to be several experienced coders here who posted regularly, but they got bored and left. I feel like a lot of people want to "learn to hack", but a lot of people don't really understand what that means.
I see quite a few sites out there that are much more advanced then MPGH... which isn't saying much, but there is no real starting point for a newbie or wannabe coder to get started. I think we just need to set some guidelines to get rid of the scrub and develop a community that is actively developing and learning how to apply that knowledge to game hacking or for that matter just real-world applications of code in general. Unfortunately I have never "made a hack" myself, but I feel the actual process of making hacks are much less involved. See after you already get to that point what's the real reason to keep hacking games? You want more of a challenge.
So if we can establish that I think that these wannabe hackers will start to moderate themselves. We just have to show them that it's not so terribly hard to learn, you know pave the way so that it's easy enough for others to follow without just giving them the code so they will have learned nothing. It's a balancing act with two extremes, but the middle ground is a good learning environment for anyone who helps themselves.
