I was bored so i started researching the smallest o/s and i found Damn small linux its only 50 MB so i downloaded it and ran it in virtualBox and it was accually kinda good for a 50mb O/s
The only use that i accually found with this was if u screw up ur comp have DsL handy to Move Important files but other than that i wouldnt install this >.>

It is, once compiled, it's an operating system :S
ATM takes no disk space, only like 21 sectors on a disk, and like about 1KB of RAM, provided it's not running any usermode processes. The kernel itself is negro small though.
