I reformatted my PC and reinstalled Windows XP.
I can't install anything!! What should I do to completely update my PC? (First time I reformat this PC in 5-6 years)
I can't install Chrome too.. So I'm on Internet Exfailer.

what xp do you have? did u updated all your programs? check the firewall. if not then what cd for xp did you use? the one that comes with comp or a random one?

1- you fucked up your comp. make sure that the cd key you have is legit. make sure the computer ss compatible with xp profesional, not every hardware is compatible with every program.
2- Control Panel\System and Maintenance\Windows Update
But what does it say when you try to install? Maybe you don't have administrative rights.
A pic would help out, unless it's a error message, then just type what it says.

I think that's because of windows' installer. I once had a similar problem. You just need to update it, unless windows update isn't doing it already.
After it finishes, try installing again, and if it doesn't work, update your windows installer.
