Vista 32-Bit Public MPGH hack help. (Choob/Newb friendly)
Okay although I am a choob, I decided I would try to post something that could help people.
The public MPGH hack is working for me on my CA and i have vista 32-bit.
Although I did not figure this out by myself, I am copying and pasting from DAVE84311, ROUGHS3X, and Bacardi151 I am only putting them in the order I went through them in order to get the public hack to work.
Vista users, ESPECIALLY 32-bit, listen up!
Run Windows Update to get all your system updates
Install SP2(Service Pack 2)
Make sure your DirectX version is at the very least 9, but it should be 10
Do NOT run Combat Arms in compatibility mode
Do NOT rename the settings file
Rename the .asi file to AHN.asi for instance
Move the .asi and settings files into your Combat Arms folder
In the settings file you will see R, B, G values in 2 spots. One is IN FRONT OF and one is BEHIND walls. This is the value which sets the color for your chams. Use any number from 0-255 to choose your cham colors.
You MUST have both wallhack AND chams enabled to see the chams.
TY ROUGHS3X and DAVE84311
After this you want to do Bacardi151's tutorial for Vista 64bit
Your probably having trouble getting CA to start even if you have removed these hacks. SO UNINSTALL CA AND REINSTALL. AFTER YOU HAVE REINSTALLED FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS. IT WILL WORK.
If you have Vista listen very carefully... to get this to work you must go to you control panel and click UAC *user account* then what you want to do is click on turn user account control on or off, click it and check the little box so that it is off. Ok now it's going to prompt you to restart, don't do it.
Now what you want to do is go back to the control panel and click on system. Scroll down to were it says *Computer name, domain and work group settings* and click change settings.
This image has been resized. Click this bar to view the full image. The original image is sized 639x524.
Now a little menu should come up, click advanced and under performance click settings.
Ok now another menu will cum up and what you want to do is click Data Execution Prevention, DEP for short. Click turn on DEP for all programs and services except those that I select. Click add and browse your combat arms folder and select CombatArms.exe and add it.
Make sure CombatArms.exe is checked after you add it and hit apply. Now it is going to prompt you to restart again, don't. Now extract MPGH files into the CA folder. YAY! You can restart your comp now and after just start CA normally, obviously you won't be prompted when you do start it
After doing that, [MPGH]ROUGHS3X also stated:
Change your settings.ini file to THESE settings BEFORE you start CA and save them:

NOW my input :]
Make sure you do not have any fake HShield folders(bypass) in your Nexon/CombatArms folder, try starting off with a clean CA folder(that's why you reinstalled).
NOW RESTART!!!
If you have any questions or if my tutorial is unclear because of the copy and pasting, just post a reply and I'll try to answer in my own words that might make things a little easier.
PS: I'm not sure if I put this in the right section... sorry if I didn't, there's a reason why I'm a choob. ^-^v
SCREENSHOTS
Okay so i forgot to circle the UAC thing so go with the one where the little quote box is under.
I know that alot of you feel like this is stupid because Dave released his hack so long ago, but I still think this might be useful for future reference or if some people just want to try it out now.
So either say something nice or don't say anything at all, whining and flaming are stupid :P
