Trade Post Exploit

There's an exploit going around that's going to get fixed very soon, so abuse it while you can.

1. Have a trade post in your cornerstone or club world
2. Wait until your victim places their item into the trade window
3. Destroy the trade post yourself or have a friend do it

At this point the victims items will disappear but they can regain them if they switch worlds.

4. Come up with an excuse as to why it got destroyed. "Oops hit the R key by mistake. Here, trade me again. There's a bug so the items are invisible in the inventory. I just gotta trade you something and it'll be fixed"
5. Trade them anything (1 flux, 1 glim, whatever) and accept

Once the second trade goes through, you'll have your victims items.

does it work on hubs?

If anybody is stupid enough to even fall for this then they deserve it. Anybody with common sense knows when something fishy is going on while performing this. If you find someone who falls for it, good on you.

It's an exploit, it's something that can be abused. If you choose not to take advantage of it then don't. And don't go admitting that you bot and cheat and claim you still have pride and moral. That's hilarious.

I didn't post this with the intention of others scamming others on this site, if anything this will protect the users on here because it's informing them of how the exploit is done, but feel free to remove the thread if necessary. And I used social engineering loosely, a poor choice of words.

Thanks for posting this, but does the victim retreive the item if they switch world after the second trade ? (so it can be used to dup with a friend)

Hmmm no! The items actually look invisible in the inventory, but they aren't invisible, they are stuck in trade window, they get back... man wtvr, it's not that way that is coded

is it not working anymore?
