Ok let me put this simply.. the kid may have been doing certain things wrong and its enough to arrest him, but tasering a non-hostile person is certainly using too much force, and doing it several times is just plain abusive. If the cops really wanted to take him out easily without force... handcuff his hands and legs and carry him out.
Secondly, he was asked for his badge number and made a threat towards the student. An officer has to atleast give his badge number if asked.
It is clear that this is another sign of the LAPD using brute force to arrest someone and it went well beyond their limits. They should be fired. I believe when i read the report, it said that they were continuing the investigation. Pretty much, they tried to cover it up fairly easily and say it was the students fault, but now that there is so much attention on the issue.. they are forced to reopen the case and hopefully will fire these officers.
