Ive started recently, using Dev-C++ for no particular reason. I wanted to know what most people use and what I should use. I heard about Visual basic but actually have no idea what it is only that its used in C++ coding.
Thanks
Visual basic = Easier things
C++ = Harder but more powerful.
i use visual studio 2008 and works a treat
i compile all things and my AA3 and aa 2.8.5 hacks fine with it
others use 2005 and 2003 versions but i started when 2008 was out and stayed with it,
i use microsoft visual c++ express edition fairy easy to use and good...
use wxDev-cpp for general things, but VS is required for Direct X things.
Visual Basic is not used in C++ it's a completley different programming language.

Visual Basic has absolutely nothing to do with C++.
They're included in the same pack (Visual Studio) but Visual Basic is used to code in a newer version of BASIC (Bill's Attempt to Seize Industry Control). If you want to code C++, I suggest getting Visual C++ Express 2008.
vb 2008 great
I think we should start limiting who can post in this section....

How would you possibly decide who can and who can't? I mean, most leechers only post once and realize we hate them and never come back.
/whisper we start with David...

I wouldn't mind being kicked out.
No offense, even though you will take offense, but for someone with 649 posts you probably would care.

I don't take offense because you said I wouldn't care if I get kicked out, I take offense because you think people come on this site to increase and maintain a post count. Dumb ass response. I can help people whether I have 649 posts or 0, it doesn't change anything. I don't have to lie about my abilities, unlike some people on this site ( leechers ) I can accept being wrong, and I'll learn from my mistakes.
I'm going to make an assumption, you're going to cry because you lost an account with a couple of thousand posts? You assume I wouldn't care since I have such a low post count, Mr. 76 Posts.
