[SOLVED]COD6:MW2 Sound Mods

Hi all, I've recently had an idea that I think would be fun.

I have the complete sound packs for both Duke Nukem ("come get some","let's rock" etc) and Quake ("double kill", "l-l-l-ludicrous kill" etc) and I thought it would be cool to mod my MW2 install so that when I achieve a double kill or a killing spree etc. it played the appropriate file.

Does anyone know how to do this or where I could find a util to let me do this??

I don´t think it is possible,Cause you will have to change the .IWI files.But yet again that was only a guess.

Yes it's possible.

What you will need is Winrar, crc32 fix program and hex editor.
Go into the IWD files(with winrar) and search for the sound u want to change(find the killstreak noise). copy the name of the default sound.

Then get the song u want to use, and open it in hex editor and also open the song u want to delete(the defualt mw2 sound) and copy the first two lines from the default mw2 sound and paste/write them into the first two lines in your new song. Then delete the last 4 numbers from the new one and save

Then open the crc32 fix program. paste the location (c:/programfiles....) of the new file into the new box and do the same for the default mw2 sound.
then click fix.
Then drag and drop the new modified file into the IWD_ that you got the orignal from and woot woot!

Hey, thanks for your reply. However, I was more interested in how I might ADD sounds that aren't there at the moment (e.g. for a Double kill [kill 2 people at once]), as opposed to just CHANGE pre-existing sounds.
For instance, I'd like to ADD code that says "if I get a double kill, play "doublekill.wav", or something to that effect.
When I get AC130 I want the thing that says "our AC130 is ready for deployment", then when I press 4 I want it to go "friendly AC130 incoming" then my Duke sound "your ass is grass, and I've got the weedwhacker"
Is that possible?

No, that is not possible. You'd probably have to re-code the whole game or change some kind of .gsc to do that.
