No, you need to do the same thing for C++. C++, though, you can do something like GetModuleHandle("cshell.dll") and use the pointer and offset, if that's a little easier. Either way, actually coding something isn't going to be, per say, easy.
Your best bet to start "hacking" is to have an overall knowlege of programming. When i was new I read alot of c++ tutorials and then moved on to Visual basic and some c#.

VB is easier if you just want to code a trainer, but you can't make a injected hack with it, never seen one, but it maybe possible, so correct me if I'm wrong.
Once you got the pointers, you probably could code a trainer in like 10 minutes depending on of course how complicated it is.
