We all hate Nexon, seriously. But most people ask, "Can they scans our files?" most say no, some say yes.
Here is my answer:
Acutally, yes they can if they wanted. Like in schools, they have the right to check your pocket, bag, butt, whatever. Because it is stated in the TOS, you have at school. If they wants to check your backpack, you can't say, "No, it is my privacy." no, they can. Because, you're at their property, using their services, they have a right.
Nexon have a right, UNLESS IT IS IN THE TOS, other then that no, if they stated, "Nexon have the rights, the scan your computer for memory altering programs." its not bad really, you'll never know what will hits you. Another good reason is STEAM owned and runned by Valve. Under Steam User Agreement, you can find (I checked a while ago, dunno if it is stil there) that the VAC1 and VAC2 system, will can your computer for memory changing problems But will raise a red flag.

that may be true but they also would have to have some proof first before any action is to be taken really. i mean we are talking computers here... i doubt that they would have any right to seach someones computer with out the users knowledge of it. hmm
a common misconception, most people view them looking at your computer as accessing the infomation of your drive, this is actually strictly illegal. when you sign a TOS agreement that states so and so has the rights to access your computer they are limited to 2 things 1 the running software (those owned by them, and the program tittles is residence.
another thing is unless the program you installed while installing has you agree to install (and sub run) any "extra" programs say HS or GG. you can actually trace that program back to the intalling company and have grounds for legal action.
also when reading TOS, you can break trms of service and except in the most extream cases (ie you hack nexon's servers thru CA and add the currancy, thus stealing money from them), they ussally only have one path of action, trmination of service. ELUA's are differant and can have more far reaching complications.
also remember do not take my word for this if you ever have questions about what the TOS and ELUA's allow and disallow the proscribing company to do. submit the said print out to a legal adviser.

Like i've said before,Nexon fails.
they would need a good reason to search ur computer and if they do it with out ur knowlege you can easily sued them, they can only do it with u knowing and you saiding yes

Anywho. a company does use proof, they scans the game files for memory changing programs, reports, screenshots, admins, Game Admins, etc. And when a red flag is raised, they'll just scan your computer, checking for JUST that little program, nothing more. No, if you have child porn (whoever does, needs to to be taken to a field and shot) they'll not find it.

I personally would think that for them to be able to scan your computer they would need a federal agency or police with a search warrant do it and have them report back. But to be sure if any of you guys know a lawyer why don't you ask them.
If they search my computer ill mess them up
I think we all would do that. :P
